M.D.ramanathan was one
my favorite singers too and his renderings of all gowlas, be it reethi gowla or
kedharagowla ,were a treat to the discerning ears of connaisseurs of depths of
raga lakshna.
Emphasis on Nuances of
anu swarams were the hall mark of singers of yester years like voliti,
nedanuri,kvn etc but at present most vocalists mask it with unwanted frills,
over stretched brihas, and all other sorts of gimmicks
